Whilst the returns for livestock are good, there are increasing costs particularly associated with the poor season in 2017 in some areas, resulting in the extra need for supplementary feed. To minimise costs and ensure that livestock have sufficient feed it will be essential to maximise early pasture growth and production.
Mick Faulkner (Agrilink Agricultural Consultants) based at Penwortham in South Australia’s Mid North will be the key presenter.
The webinar will discuss the strategies that farmers can undertake to produce additional early feed and reduce the impact on the cropping system. Mick
will discuss existing (regenerating) pastures AND sown pastures/crops.
